QuickSquares Roof Report

Last updated: October 5, 2026

QuickSquares Roof Report produces estimates from remote imagery and elevation data. It is a starting point for a quote, not a replacement for measuring the roof in person. This page explains the specific limitations behind every number a report gives you.

1. Imagery-based, not an on-site inspection

Every measurement comes from satellite and aerial imagery (Google Solar data, Google Maps, and public USGS NAIP aerial photos) and, where available, public LiDAR survey data for ridge height. Nobody from QuickSquares visits the property. Confirm the roof's condition, access, obstructions and exact measurements on site before ordering material or finalizing a quote.

2. Tree cover and shadows can hide part of a roof

Heavy tree cover, shadows or overhangs can block the imagery from seeing all or part of a roof. When this happens, the measured area can be smaller than the real roof — the report flags this on its cover page when it detects the condition, but a report with no flag can still be affected by a milder version of the same limitation.

3. Imagery age

The satellite imagery behind a report has a capture date shown on the report itself. A roof can change (additions, re-roofing, storm damage) after that date and before you view the report.

4. Multiple structures on one property

When a property has more than one roofed structure close together, QuickSquares does its best to measure only the one at the searched address and to flag or exclude anything that looks like a separate, nearby building. This separation is not perfect on every property.

5. Outlines you adjust

Before generating a report you can adjust the roof outline. When you do, the report measures the outline you approved, not the one QuickSquares traced, and says so on its cover page. Any part of that outline the imagery could not see (for example, roof under trees) is estimated by extending the nearest measured roof plane; the report shows that area as estimated. You are responsible for the outline you approve — confirm it on site.

6. No warranty of accuracy

QuickSquares reports are provided "as is," without any warranty that the measurements, material quantities or price estimate are complete or error-free. Material quantities and pricing in a report are estimates based on the measured area and the pricing you configured in your account; local code requirements, waste beyond the suggested factor, and supplier pricing changes are not accounted for.
